At Ayoconnect, we value those who always strive to advance themselves. We appreciate people who always learn rapidly and eagerly to become a better version of themselves. As we approach the end of 2020, we recently asked some of our teammates to reflect on what lessons they have learned with Ayoconnect in the past year, and what they are looking forward to in 2021.

“I acquired the life-lesson of gratitude from all of the mayhem brought by 2020. A Spiritual Monk named Ajahn Brahm once said — “Good or Bad, who knows”. And it really spurs me on to feel grateful against anything. Sometimes you might not understand why certain things happened until later on, you realize it happens for a blessing or good lesson. That being said, I’m determined to make 2021 the year of growth for both my personal and professional life.”

“As an extrovert, staying at home for months is asking too much of me. I got admitted with COVID-19 not long ago and currently I am still in the recovery process. So it was indeed a tough year both physically and mentally. I have been attending a couple of online yoga and meditation workshops run by a family member — it has really been boosting my immunity. As for next year’s resolution, I strive to have a healthier lifestyle!”

“Despite being a challenging year, to say the least, I think 2020 has taught people to be more present and aware of themselves. I find myself doing a lot more self-introspection, deep thought, and repositioning the goals of my life this year. Over and above, this year has put an even more emphasis on the importance of family.

“Self-reflecting at the end of a year has always been on my new year resolution to-do list. It gives me a moment to really take a step back and see the good and bad that happened in the previous year. I joined Ayoconnect recently and this achievement is a testament to how much I have grown professionally and personally. More than anything, 2020 also left me with a valuable lesson of managing money prudently.”

“I usually associate the new year with the time to start something new and rethink about goals and commitment ahead but not this year. This year have hit us with dozens of new habit and lifestyle that needed to be adapted as fast as possible. It teaches me to keep walking and being more stoic with anything that happens around us. I had been focusing on myself more and looking forward to the outcome of those actions I took in 2020.”

“The famous Newton once said, “What we know is a drop and what we don’t is an ocean” and that’s how I choose to sum up the year 2020. The notion and concept of “slowing down” only reached us during these 6 months at home; before then, we were all busy chasing our “dreams” that we forgot to pause and catch our breath. That being said, this year has taught me a lot about looking for one another and I’d very much like to keep doing so moving forward.”
